My wife, I and the family met with friends this evening at Tin Roof BBQ located in Atascocita, TX.  This is a great place to eat if for those that have small children.  Indoor/outdoor dining is available.  We choose outdoor, covered, dining since we were meeting another family that also had small children.  The atmosphere is great with a band that plays covers ranging from ZZ Top to Lynard Skynard to Waylon Jennings.  A couple of small playgrounds provide entertainment for the kids while the adults can have their beverages and eat some delicious barbecue.

Here are the latest ministry updates from the East Houston Fellowship of Christian Athlete’s director Eric Anderson. 

1. Sports camp – 252 trusted Christ as Savior. 600 in attendance.  13 of the 600 were from East Houston.  2 of the 13 trusted Christ as Savior
2. There’s a tremendous opportunity to send more students to camp from East Houston.
3. The East Houston Ministry is expanding.  Our goal is  to develop more huddles throughout the area East Houston Area.  This will mean that we will need more resources.
4. We exist to serve coaches and all whom they influence.
5. We want to partner with the Crosby community in spreading the gospel.
6. We have a goal of developing a monthly donor base (AMP) of $4k a month.  We’re at $1300 a month.  We (East Houston) raise a majority of the operating finances through two major events, one time donations, end of the year giving and our local East Houston Banquet.
7. I’m asking every coach that we serve to become a monthly donor of $10 month.
